你是什么专业的？去哪里留学？
如果本科不是英语，想要在主要语内言不是英语的国和别人容流畅交流的话，有有道电子词典就够了，在母语是英文的国家中和别人流畅交流就买一本牛津高阶，但一定要有电子词典。（电子词典要装有专业读音，近义词和造句的那种）如果本科是英语，无论在哪种国家，英英牛津高阶和中英电子词典一定要有，如果经济允许建议买卡西欧的电子词典，比较专业。如果留学还要在那里面试什么的，也不用买太多词典，以上就可以了，主要是在于运用，词汇很重要，但一定要会运用。
关于书籍，朗文书虫的建议去看，这个系列的书有很多，高中大学的都可以看，中英文对照，要提高自己的水平也可以看看，对于里面有些什么书，我先给你推荐几本，比如书虫系列的《牙齿与爪子》（还是《爪子与牙齿》我记不清对了）、《化身博士》、《曾达的囚徒》、《多里安·格雷的画像》朗文系列还有很多其他的，我都没看过，自己去查吧。

你好，我的一个朋友就在外企做助理和翻译。
她经朋友引荐的，这个问题不大。见经理时，经理给她一些资料和电脑，让她3小时内翻完，即可录取。由于是做汽车部件的企业，所以有很多汽车上的专业词汇，所以肯定要查词典。她的英文是不错的，什么样的句式文法都行，但你要知道，英语只是技术，不是知识。在企业，很少有记叙文抒情文这些玩意等你，有的都是说明文，公文，所以，句法不要求很多，术语、机构名称之类的蛮重要。慢慢积累吧。笔译就是要查的。当然你要和人家先说，你有些术语不清楚，要查，以后熟悉了会好。人家才不管你查不查呢，最后翻译的及时又好就行。至于口译，是另外一回事。
